Dagogo-Jack Emerges PANDEF National Secretary

The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has formally announced the appointment of Engr. Beks Dagogo-Jack, as its new National Secretary.

This confirmation came after the endorsement of his nomination by PANDEF’s National Leader, Edwin Kiagbodo Clarke, along with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

National Chairman, Godknows Igali, clarified that this appointment follows the resolution made during the Special General Assembly convened on October 24, 2024.

Naija News reports that during this assembly, elders from Rivers State within PANDEF were charged with the responsibility of nominating a qualified candidate to occupy the vacant position.

Engr. Dagogo-Jack’s nomination was subsequently presented to the Board of Trustees in an official letter dated December 9, 2024, which was signed by Chief Rufus Ada-George, the former Governor of Rivers State, on behalf of the Rivers State elders.

Engr. Beks Dagogo-Jack possesses a remarkable history of service and expertise relevant to this role.

He is a Fellow of both the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM), and he has been honoured with the title of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).

His extensive background includes serving as the Commissioner for Works, Housing, and Transport in Rivers State, as well as holding the position of Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Power during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan.

The National Spokesman for PANDEF, Obiuwevbi Christopher Ominimini, commended Engr. Dagogo-Jack’s impressive qualifications highlight his significant contributions to the Niger Delta region and Nigeria as a whole.

Engr. Dagogo-Jack is anticipated to utilize his extensive experience to enhance PANDEF’s mission of advocating for the interests of the Niger Delta and promoting unity and development throughout the region.
