Gov Okpebholo Pays Workers 13th Month Salary

The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has credited the state workers with 13th month salary to spice up the festive period for the workers.

Governor Okpebholo had in previous engagements expressed the readiness of his administration to make the welfare of the state workers a priority, including paying monthly salaries as and when due.

In a statement on Monday, the Chief Press Secretary to Edo State Governor, Fred Itua, the Governor stressed his commitment to ensuring workers reap the efforts of their labour.

Matching words with actions, Governor Monday Okpebholo paid civil and public servants their 13th-month salary on the 29th of December 2024 to the delight of Edo State workers.

“Governor Monday Okpebholo is not an accidental governor but he came prepared for governance as such within two weeks of assuming office as governor of Edo State fulfill his promises to Edo State workers as he paid their November salaries without any delay,” he said.

The State’s Head of Service (HOS), Anthony Okungbowa, commended Senator Okpebholo for the prompt payment of November salaries.

Okungbowa assured the workforce that the Governor also approved the payment of 13th-month salaries.

He emphasized that the Governor’s gesture was a motivation for workers. He urged them to put in their best, by collaborating with the present administration to ensure growth and development.
