Governor Fubara Signs ₦1.18 Trillion 2025 Budget Into Law
The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalaya Fubara, has signed the state’s 2025 Appropriation Bill into law.
Governor Fubara, in a speech after signing the bill into law on Thursday, said only Victor Oko-Jumbo-led House of Assembly exists in the state.
Naija News reported that Fubara, last week submitted the ₦1.18 trillion budget to Oko-Jumbo-led Assembly.
Themed ‘Budget of Inclusive Growth and Development’, Governor Fubara said ₦1.18 trillion budget would be used to drive progress in agriculture, education, healthcare, and other infrastructural projects.
“This budget reflects our commitment to advancing prosperity for all Rivers people,” he said.
Fubara declared that Martins Amaewhule and 26 other members who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) ceased to be recognized as legislators.
According to him, no governor in Nigeria has endured the level of disrespect he has endured, adding that his focus remains on steering Rivers State toward greater accomplishments.
He commended the Oko-Jumbo-led House for the speedy passage of the budget. He assured the commitment of his administration to ensuring efficient implementation of the budget.
Fubara, had in his New Year message, assured he would continue to prioritize education, healthcare, security, general welfare of the people and upholding the integrity of the State.
