‘I’ve Been Using My Red Biro For 14 Years’ – Wike Takes A Swipe At Fubara

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has fired back at Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, after he threatened to continue using his “red biro” against his political foes.

Wike, in his response, reminded Fubara that he has been using the same red biro for 14 years and is still going strong.

The exchange of words occurred after Fubara, during a 2025 New Year church service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Opobo Town, reiterated his intention to crush his enemies with his “red biro.”

“The red biro is still filled. It is still here with me. Every enemy plan will continue to crash,” Fubara declared.

However, Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, took to social media to call out Fubara’s boast.

Olayinka posted on X, saying, “Someone who has only used the red biro for less than two years is somewhere reminding himself and boasting that ‘The red biro is still filled. It is still here with me.’ Issokay.

“Shouldn’t he also be reminded that someone has used the same red biro for 14 years and is still using it?”
