Sodiq Ismail is poised to make an exciting move from Remo Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to FK Partizani in Albania.

Reports indicate that Sodiq Ismail, who plays as a right-back, is set to sign a three-year contract with the club.

Ismail’s standout performances for Remo Stars last season didn’t go unnoticed, as he played a significant role in Nigeria’s qualification for the upcoming 2025 African Nations Championship and has already made his debut for the Super Eagles. Impressively, he also found the back of the net 12 times during the last season.

In other news, Shooting Stars General Manager Dimeji Lawal has recognized the invaluable support of the club’s fans, emphasizing their vital role in maintaining order during home matches in the first round of the season.

Lawal expressed gratitude on behalf of the management, coaches, staff, and players, highlighting the crucial impact the supporters had on the team’s performance.

He reassured fans that efforts are underway to enhance the quality of the team for the second round, with a commitment to addressing any weaknesses identified during the first half of the season.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated supporters for ensuring a smooth first round at home,” Lawal stated. “Their unwavering belief in the team, even during challenging moments, has been a key factor in our success thus far. We recognize that there is room for improvement, and we are actively working to strengthen our squad.”

Currently, Shooting Stars hold third place in the league table with 33 points from 19 games, and with the support of their fans and the technical expertise of Coach Gbenga Ogunbote and his staff, they are optimistic about a more rewarding performance in the second round.
