Six Key Highlights Of Tinubu’s Visit To Enugu
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday paid a one-day working visit to Enugu State on the invitation of Govenor Peter Mbah.
Naija News reports that during the visit, Tinubu inaugurated numerous projects across the Southeast state.
Below are highpoints of President Tinubu’s visit to Enugu:
1– The visit is the first official call of the President in 2025; it is immensely significant and underlines the importance accorded to the zone.
2– The President inaugurated projects, which include the GTC Smart Green School, New Haven/Bisalla Road, the International Conference Centre, the Command-and-Control Centre, and 150 patrol vehicles equipped with surveillance cameras, among others.
3– President Tinubu affirmed his administration’s commitment to complete the Eastern Rail line, connecting Port Harcourt to Maiduguri. Already the Port Harcourt — Aba section has been completed.
4– The President also expressed his support for the development of the Anambra Basin as a significant energy reserve. The basin is estimated to hold up to 1 billion barrels of oil and 30 billion cubic feet of gas.
5– President Tinubu interacted with a cross section of leaders of the South East, listening and taking note of their concerns.
6– The President wore his accustomed hat as a unifier, speaking thus on unity: “No one of us has control of the mother tongue. God created us, and you can find yourself in Enugu, Onitsha, or Lagos. We are all members of one huge family called Nigeria, but we live in different rooms in the same house. We must build this house to satisfy our immediate and future needs.”
