The Presidency has assured that the 2025 budget would address most of the challenges plaguing the nation across all sectors.
The Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication to President Bola Tinubu, Sunday Dare, said there would be efficient implementation of the 2025 budget.
Recall that Naija News reported that the 2025 budget total sum was ₦49.7 trillion. The budget was benchmarked at crude oil output of 3 million barrels per day.
In an interview with News Central, Dare enjoined citizens to support the policies of the President.
He dismissed issues concerning Nigeria’s debt and proposed loans for the budget, assuring that the loan would be used to deliver benefits to Nigerians.
“Nigerians need not worry. This President will ensure that the loans we use are applied in such a way that it benefits the people.
Three key elements of the 2025 Bajor proposal. Human capital, a massive injection of funds into human capital development. Then you look at capital development, ₦16 trillion. Never before. And when you break it down, you know, I don’t want the details are more exciting,” he said.
The President’s spokesman also highlighted allocations for healthcare, education and agriculture in the 2025 budget. He stressed that the President would address the nation’s challenges.
“You look at the health care centers. You look at the money that will be spent to bring in medication, which is costing so much money.
“You look at the money spent on agriculture. Then you begin to see that you have a Bajor proposal that strikes at the heart of the critical things that matter, human capital development, education. This President has said it repeatedly that the only weapon against poverty in his education and he has lived through to that vision in this budget with what we have. Seven percent of Nigeria’s budget going to education. The very first time ever,” he added.
