Former Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga has shared an inspiring farewell message to Enyimba FC as he prepares for his transition to Molde in Norway.

Daniel Daga expressed optimism for Enyimba’s future, particularly in the CAF Confederation Cup and the ongoing 2024-2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Daga had signed a pre-contract with the Norwegian team in 2024, awaiting his 18th birthday in January 2025 to finalize his professional deal. After a rewarding season and a half with Enyimba, he is excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead.

Reflecting on his journey, Daga stated, “Enyimba FC, from my first game for the People’s Elephant to my last, it has been a tremendous privilege to wear and fight for this badge.”

He emphasized the importance of teamwork, collective achievements, and unwavering support from fans, coaches, and management, all of which have contributed to cherished memories.

After facing challenges over the past two months, Enyimba recently ended a 10-game winless streak with a resounding 4-1 victory over Black Bulls of Mozambique in the Confederation Cup. This win marks a turning point for the team, which currently sits ninth in the NPFL with 24 points from 16 matches.

“I wish you all the best in the second half of the league and hope to see you excel on the continental stage,” Daniel Daga added.

Recall that Daga was part of the Nigerian Under-20 team that made an impressive quarter-final run at the 2023 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Argentina.
