African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Omoyele Sowore, has slammed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for celebrating his son’s graduation in the United Kingdom (UK).

Naija News reports Wike, whose wife and top politicians joined for the graduation ceremony, announced it via his social media accounts on Tuesday and shared photos from the event.

Reacting, Sowore, in a Facebook post on Wednesday, said Wike, despite allegedly looting Rivers State funds during his tenure as governor, served as a Minister of Education in Nigeria for four years he could not build a school good enough for his children to study.

The human rights activist said it was shameful for Wike to send his children to UK schools with stolen funds.

He wrote, “You were governor for eight years in Rivers State, one of Nigeria’s wealthiest states.

“You looted the state dry and couldn’t build a single school where your children could earn a Master’s in Law. What a Crying Shame!

“Nyesom Wike was Ex-local government Chairman (two terms), Ex-Minister of Education (4 years), Ex-Governor of Rivers State (two terms-8 years), and Current FCT Minister yet Wike could not build a school good enough to send his children to study, he needs to send them to UK schools with stolen funds.”
