The family of the Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Olatunji Disu, has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of his adopted son, Adam, in a car accident on Monday.

Sources revealed that Adam, who was driving alone in a BMW at the time of the crash, succumbed to injuries sustained in the horrific accident.

The incident has left the family devastated and sparked an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, friends, and members of the public.

According to reports from SaharaReporters, Adam had been in the care of CP Disu since he was two years old. The police chief was said to have adopted him and raised him as his own, deepening the emotional toll of the loss.

Naija News reports that the news of Adam’s passing has elicited widespread sympathy and support for the grieving family. Several colleagues and friends of Disu have sent messages of comfort and strength to the police chief.

One of the sources who spoke with SaharaReporters said, “Adam was not his (Tunji Disu’s) biological son but he raised him since he was two years old. Adam was 33 years old and had just completed his NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) programme last year.”

Another source said, “He died in a ghastly auto accident while drive alone in BMW car.

“The car caught fire as it rolled over after entering a ditch.”
