A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Temilola Adibi, has passed away at the age of 64.

Adibi, who represented the Ogbomoso North/Ogbomoso South/Oriire federal constituency in Oyo State from 1999 to 2003 under the defunct Alliance for Democracy party, died on Tuesday morning.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain had been expected to celebrate his 65th birthday in April.

According to Daily Post, sources revealed that the former lawmaker died shortly after jogging in Ilorin, Kwara State, where he had been residing.

His passing has shocked his supporters and left the people of Ogbomoso in mourning.

A close associate of the late politician shared that Adibi had been in good health up until his death, noting that he had communicated with people the night before and had even posted on his WhatsApp status at 4 a.m.

A respected figure in Oyo State politics, Adibi was known for his significant contributions to local governance and community development.

He also served as Chairman of the Oyo State Sports Council and Director-General of the Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA).

In addition to his time in the House of Representatives, Adibi had a distinguished career in public service. He served as the Director-General of the Bill and Signage Board during the first term of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Earlier, he had also held the position of Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government Area.
