APC Is A Party That Rewards Corruption - Rhodes-Vivour

Former Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) rewards corruption.

Naija News reports that Rhodes-Vivour said APC attracts the worst of Nigerians with all criminal issues to rule the people.

In an interview with Nigeria Info FM, the Labour Party chieftain said the political event that happened in Lagos House of Assembly showed the cabal manipulation of Lagos State politics.

“It is visible even to the blind that APC is a party that rewards corruption, thuggery and impunity. It’s no surprise they attract the worst of us: fake lawyers, and leaders with records of crime, without certificates.

“It explains why they do not campaign on ideas (or even govern with any) but rely on bigotry, violence and rigging to force their way into office.

“No nation can grow with a party populated by people without character, competence and empathy,” he said.

He continued that the people ruling Lagos under APC were to serve the cabals that put them in political positions. He said the cabals only support political aspirants who would bend to their dictates.

The people that are rewarded are the people that bend. They use people that will do the bidding of the people that put them there not the people. The people within the party that put them there. And a governor is not just a governor for the people in the APC, a governor for the entire Lagos.

“They’re carrying the destinies and marching the destinies of over 20 million souls. So you must be accountable to people other than the cabal that put you there. And also for the Lagosian, for Nigerian if people that are leading you do not believe that you the people put them there. They will first answer to those that put them there and the answer to those that put them there usually is not in your interest, and it’s unfortunate because it’s your commonwealth. It’s your taxes that they are giving these people,” he added.
