Spanish La Liga club Real Betis is reportedly interested in Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze for a potential January transfer.

Samuel Chukwueze’s future has been uncertain lately due to his minimal impact at AC Milan, where he joined in 2022 after a productive six-year stint at Villarreal, amassing 37 goals and 31 assists in 207 appearances.

At AC Milan, however, Chukwueze has struggled to find his form with only ten goals in 55 matches, many of which were as a substitute.

Although talks with Arsenal surfaced regarding a potential transfer due to Bukayo Saka’s injury, those discussions have since cooled, especially following Chukwueze’s injury at the beginning of the year.

Despite these challenges, reports hint at ongoing interest from Real Betis.

However, AC Milan are reportedly hesitant to let him go due to an unsatisfactory offer from the La Liga club.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi may be considering a change of scenery as reports indicate he is open to leaving Nottingham Forest due to uncertainties regarding his role at the club.

Awoniyi has been instrumental for Forest, contributing significantly with 11 goals in the 2022-2023 Premier League season, helping the team secure their place in the league.

Unfortunately, a series of injury setbacks have affected his consistency this season, limiting him to just one goal in 17 appearances during the current 2024-2025 campaign.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo has increasingly favoured New Zealand international Chris Wood, who has impressed with 14 goals in 22 league games, placing him fourth in the Premier League scoring charts.

This shift has seen Awoniyi’s chances of playing time diminish, prompting further speculation about his future at Nottingham Forest.

Adding to the dynamics, Nottingham Forest are reportedly eyeing Brentford forward Yoane Wissa in the January transfer window as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

The potential addition of Wissa could further limit Awoniyi’s playing opportunities, leading to discussions about his next steps.
