EPL: Tottenham Beats Man City 4-0 As Pep Guardiola Records Worst Career Defeat

Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, acknowledged the impressive performance of Paris Saint-Germain after his team suffered a 4-2 defeat in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Premier League champions initially took control with a two-goal lead through quick goals from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland at the Parc des Princes. However, PSG made an admirable comeback, scoring four goals from Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola, Joao Neves, and Goncalo Ramos.

This result places City in a challenging position, currently sitting in 25th place and facing the possibility of exiting the competition.

In his post-match interview with TNT Sport, Guardiola reflected on the game, stating: “In the first half, we both had moments and chances, but they ultimately outperformed us.

“After going 0-2 up, we felt confident and scored right after the break, but then they quickly responded. We struggled to regain control after their first goal; they gained momentum and showcased their speed and strength. They were able to win crucial duels and had an advantage in the midfield battle.”

Guardiola emphasized the importance of acknowledging the defeat and praised PSG for their superior play, saying, “We must accept that the better team won. However, we now have one last opportunity at home against Brugge; a victory there will secure our qualification…”
