Hackers Take Over Facebook Account Of Gov Adeleke’s COS

Fraudsters have reportedly hacked the Facebook account of the Chief of Staff to the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, Kazeem Akinleye.

Naija News reports that the development was contained in a statement issued by the Office of the Chief of Staff and shared with journalists on Friday.

Akinleye said the fraudsters have started using the social media page to communicate with unsuspecting members of the public regarding official matters.

The statement clarified that the Chief of Staff does not use his Facebook page for official communication regarding state matters and called on the public to disregard any communication originating from the compromised account.

It also highlighted the risk of potential fraudulent activities by those currently controlling the account, adding that residents should remain vigilant and report suspicious interactions.

The statement reads, “This is to inform members of the public that the Facebook account of Osun State Chief of Staff has been hacked.

“We are also aware at the Office of the Chief Staff that the fraudster has started using the page to communicate with unsuspecting members of the public regarding official matters.

“Anyone who receives any communication through the Facebook account of Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye should disregard it so as not to fall victim of fraudsters.”
