It's Your Duty To Take Your Illegal Citizens Out Of US - Trump To World Leaders

President Donald Trump has said he would not back down on his administration’s policy against illegal immigrants.

Naija News reported that President Trump, after his inauguration last Monday, signed an executive action ordering the deportation of illegal immigrants from the United States.

On Saturday, Colombian President, Gustavo Francisco Petro, sought for citizens of his country who were illegal in the US to be returned back to Colombia.

In a twist of events, however, President Petro cancelled two US aircraft carrying Colombia illegals from entering his country, a move that caused a diplomatic row.

In response, US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, on Sunday, imposed a visa ban on officials of Colombia who were involved in the flight row.

The ban read: “The State Department will continue to enforce and prioritize an America First agenda. Following President Petro’s refusal to accept two repatriation flights he previously authorized, Secretary Rubio immediately ordered a suspension of visa issuance at the U.S. Embassy Bogota consular section.

“Secretary Rubio is now authorizing travel sanctions on individuals and their families, who were responsible for the interference of U.S. repatriation flight operations. Measures will continue until Colombia meets its obligations to accept the return of its own citizens. America will not back down when it comes to defending its national security interests.”

On his X handle, on Sunday, the US Secretary of State further highlighted that America under Trump would not be lied to or taken advantage of.

“President Trump has made it clear that under his administration, America will no longer be lied to nor taken advantage of. It is the responsibility of each nation to take back their citizens who are illegally present in the United States in a serious and expeditious manner,” he stated.
