President Tinubu Consoles Makinde Over Brother’s Death
President Bola Tinubu has grieved with the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, over the death of his elder brother Sunday Makinde.
Naija News reported the late 65-year-old passed away in the wee hours of last Friday, in his Ibadan residence.
In a condolence message published by the Presidency’s official X handle, President Tinubu prayed for strength and comfort for the Makinde family to bear the irreplaceable loss on Monday morning.
The statement reads, “With a heavy heart, I extend my deepest sympathies to you, your family, and the people of Oyo State on the passing of your beloved elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
“The loss of a loved one, especially a cherished elder brother, is a profound sorrow. In this time of mourning, I want you to know that I, along with many others, stand with you and your family.
