BREAKING: Rivers Assembly Moves To Probe Chief Judge Amadi Over Alleged Age Falsification
Rivers Chief Justice - Simeon Amadi

The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced a plan to probe the state Chief Judge, Simeon Amadi, over alleged age falsification.

Naija News reports that the development was discussed as the Speaker, Martins Amaewhule, presided over a plenary attended by his members.

Earlier on Thursday, the Assembly held a plenary session concerning the matter after the leader of the House, Hon Major Jack, presented several documents to the Speaker.

Subsequently, the Deputy Speaker, Hon Dumle Maol, brought forth a serious allegation against the Chief Judge of the state, Simeon Amadi, stating, “The documents in my possession indicate that the Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Amadi, has falsified his age during his service. Mr. Speaker, this is a grave accusation, and I trust that this House will take legislative notice of it.”

The House engaged in a discussion on the issue and decided to send a letter to the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), requesting an investigation and a report on their findings.

In his comments, the Speaker, Amaewhule, remarked, “The documents merely suggest a case of age falsification by the esteemed Chief Judge of the state, Simeon Amadi. This necessitates an investigation into the matter.”

Following a vote, the House unanimously agreed to request the DSS to investigate the allegations of age falsification against the Chief Judge.
