Calum Worthy is a Canadian actor who rose to fame as Dec in the 2016 Disney Channel American comedy television series Austin & Ally. Calum had been in the entertainment industry since 2001, starring in the Canadian-American science fiction drama series Mysterious Ways as the character Alien/Kid Clown in the episode “See, what do I see?” His acting skills over the years have shown him in quite a few works for which he’s picked up quite a few awards along the way.

The actor was born in Victoria, British Columbia on January 28, 1991 to Sandra Webster Worthy (mother) and David Worthy (father). He attended Claremont Secondary School, where he stood out as a brilliant student in his class.

Like most kids his age, Calum watched the evergreen adventure/comedy film Home Alone which played Macaulay Culkin before his scholastic exploits. He had a deep fondness for the film’s lead character and subsequently began cultivating ambitions of becoming an actor. Many years have passed and today this childhood dream is a reality.

Calum Worthy devoted more time to training as a dancer, singer and actor, he had to finish his studies in order to fully focus on being the best at what he does. True to his determination, the boy landed his first TV role in Mysterious Paths when he was just 9 years old. In the same year (2001) he took on a different role as Roger/Ratty in I Was a Rat and starred in 3 episodes of the series. The impressive portrayal of his character and the overall success of the series opened up more opportunities for the Canadian actor.
