Rodgers was born Aaron Charles Rodgers to DarlaLeigh (née Pittman) and Edward Wesley Rodgers on December 2, 1983 in Chico, California. He is of English, Irish and German descent. Growing up, Rodgers showed great signs of becoming an athlete, having excelled in basketball, baseball, and American football. He and his brothers; Luke and Jordan were coached by their father, who played college football but didn’t turn pro.
Aaron Rodgers attended Oak Manor Elementary School before transferring to Vose Elementary School after his family moved to Beaverton, Oregon. He played in the Raleigh Hills Little League while attending Whitford Middle School. In 1997 his family returned to California where he completed his high school education at Pleasant Valley High School. While there, Rodgers focused on football and became the school’s first quarterback.
After graduating in 2002, Aaron Rodgers spent a year at Butte Community College after failing to secure an interest in Division I programs. He later got a scholarship to the University of California at Berkeley, where he became a starter with his new team after just five games.
