BIOGRAPHY
Of Scottish origin on her mother’s side, Australian Adelaide Kane began her career at the age of sixteen. After participating in a Dolly Magazine competition , she signed a three-month contract to play the role of Lolly Allen in the soap Neighbors .
In 2010, the young woman starred in her first TV film, The Secret Treasure of the Mountain .At the same time, she filmed for the series Pretty Tough with Beth Behrs , the future co-star of 2 Broke Girls , which was not a real success. Director Christopher Neil, however, hired him for his comedy-drama Goats , with David Duchovny and Vera Farmiga , which tells the story of a slightly offbeat family.
For the purposes of season 3, the Teen Wolf team called her in 2013 to play the badass Cora Hale! Accompanied by Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien , she proves herself. This role is a good springboard for the actress who is noticed by those in charge of the CW because, the following school year, she gets her own show, Reign . By playing the main character of Mary Stuart, Queen of Scotland, Adelaide asserts herself in this new historical fiction where love and betrayal are the omnipresent themes. It’s a year full of projects for the actress who also has a series of films. First by being the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey in American Nightmare , where a family is stalked throughout a nightmarish night. Then by taking on the role of Stephanie, who comes to the aid of her grieving sister in the family drama Louder Than Words , where she once again reunites with David Duchovny.
A year later, in 2014, she changed register with the horrific The Devil’s Hand , in the company of Rufus Sewell , notably seen in Hercules and The Pillars of the Earth .
