BIOGRAPHY
Alberto San Juan Guijarro is a Spanish actor, born on the 1st. November 1968, in Madrid, Spain. Son of cartoonist Máximo San Juan and radio host Pilar Guijarro, he studied information sciences before deciding that acting was his true calling. While he was a student at the prestigious Cristina Rota School, Alberto created one of the fundamental projects of his career: he founded, together with colleagues such as Nathalie Poza and Willy Toledo, the Ración de Oreja theater company, which a year later merged with the company of Andrés Lima, giving rise to Animalario, one of the driving forces of Spanish theater in recent years, which has been the stage and impetus for the careers of dozens of current actors. With an extensive career, which exceeds 70 credits, Alberto has stood out in series such as Más que amigos (1997-1998), Gran Reserva. The Origin (2013), I Would Like (2015) and in films such as The Other Side of the Bed (2002), Under the Stars (2007) and Sentimental (2020), among several others. In 2021 he was nominated for a Goya Award, in the category of Best Supporting Actor, for his work in Sentimental .
