Alejandro Hernandez is a young American actor who began his career in 2014 appearing in numerous series in guest roles. Of his first appearances on screen, he highlighted the one he made in 2016 in the episode “Mad City: Red Queen” of the third season of Gotham . Later, Henandez also appeared in series such as Elementary , and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit . His first leading role was as detective Rafael Sosa in Instinct (2018), in which a former CIA agent (Alan Cumming), who has built a “normal” life as a talented teacher and writer, returns to his old life. when the NYPD needs his help to stop a serial killer on the loose. Since 2018, Hernandez has played the role of Casey Acosta in New Amsterdam , a medical drama that follows the new medical director of America’s oldest public hospital as he breaks the rules to heal the system.
