BIOGRAPHY
Born in Santa Monica, Amber Rose Tamblyn is the daughter of Russ Tamblyn (famous West Side Story actor ) and Bonnie Tamblyn (singer). Her career in front of the camera began early, as she was noticed by her father’s agent at the age of 10 while performing in the play “Pippi Longstocking”. Driven to do a series of auditions, the young actress made several appearances in various television series, but it was her role as Emily Bowen-Quartemaire in Alliances & betrayals which allowed her to make a name for herself in the industry. She distinguished herself there for a long time, from 1995 to 2001, and was even rewarded for her performance by the “Hollywood Reporter Young Stars Awards” on two occasions.
Amber Tamblyn continues her career alternating between cinema and television. For example, she starred in the horror films Le Cercle – The Ring (2002) and The Grudge 2 (2006), as well as in the teen comedies 4 Girls and Jeans (2005) and Spring Breakdown (2009). As for her appearance on television, she is illustrated through secondary characters in Buffy the Vampire Slayer or CSI: Miami . In Joan’s World , she plays the main role, that of Joan, a 16-year-old teenager who communicates with God… Her notoriety increased at the start of the 2000s: partner of Michael Douglas in Presumed Guilty , Amber then participated to the original 127 Hours and the highly anticipated Django Unchained , a post-modern spaghetti western directed by Quentin Tarantino .
