BIOGRAPHY
The Colombian and nationalized Argentine actress Ana María Orozco began to have a presence on television in the eighties. It was not until 1998 that she gained great popularity and recognition for her performance as ‘La Vero’, a quirky secretary, in Perro amor , which earned her the Simón Bolívar award for Best Supporting Actress and the Shock award for Best Youth Actress, in addition to a nomination for the TVyNovelas awards. Her popularity increased even more after being chosen to star in Yo soy Betty, la fea (1999-2001), a highly successful international soap opera that was broadcast in more than 180 countries, dubbed into 25 languages and has at least 28 adaptations around in the world, being the soap opera that has had the most adaptations. Orozco reprized her role as Betty in the series Ecomoda (2001), a continuation of Yo soy Betty, la fea . Since then she has participated in many other television series, both in Colombia and Argentina.
