BIOGRAPHY
Of Puerto Rican origin, the actress made her debut on television playing small roles, notably that of a pregnant woman in a special episode of Doctor Quinn, Female Doctor in 1999. Determined, she then increased her appearances in TV films and American series such as Everybody Loves Raymond , New York Police Blues and Urgences .
Her experience allowed her to be noticed by the profession and in 2006 to portray the regular character of Hilda, Betty Suarez’s sister, in Ugly Betty which earned her her first international recognition. A few years later, she landed her first major film role, that of Donna, in the romantic comedy Knocked Up But Not Too Much , starring Lindsay Lohan . In 2011, she joined the cast of the third part of the comedy saga Big Mamma , alongside Martin Lawrence .
But it was his performance in Devious Maids , in 2013, which allowed him to breathe new life into his career. The show , produced in part by Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria , offers the artist the role of Marisol Suarez, one of the five main Hispanic maids of the flagship program of the Lifetime channel.
