BIOGRAPHY
While playing football at a professional level, Andreas Pietschmann is passionate about theater. A serious car accident convinces him to devote himself exclusively to a career as an actor. The young man then flourished on stage through multiple shows. It was only late that he opened up to television. After numerous supporting roles, he gained ground thanks to the popular youth series 4 gegen Z (2005-2007) and the fictions Die Verlorenen (2006) and A Broken Promise (2007).
Increasingly in demand on the small screen, Andreas Pietschmann landed one of the main roles in the series GSG9: Special Missions . He plays Konstantin von Brendorp, one of the members of a special forces unit of the Berlin police. The public found him again in December 2008 in the thriller Die Patin – Kein Weg zurück . Success being achieved, the actor appeared in some successful shows of the time: Mick Brisgau , Un cas pour deux , Tatort , and even Commissioner Marthaler .
After having lent his features to Jesus in the epic Mary of Nazareth (2012), the actor meets Belle and Sébastien in the first part of the film trilogy. In 2015, he co-starred with Hans-Jochen Wagner and Christoph Letkowski in Männer! Alles auf Anfang , a comedy about three friends who decide, following the breakdown of their respective marriages, to renovate an old house together.
Netflix subscribers discovered him at the end of 2017 as the Stranger in the intriguing hit series Dark . During the fall of 2021, viewers will find him on TF1 in the casting of A Perfect Mother . Married to Julie Gayet in this adaptation of Nina Darnton ‘s novel , he plays a surgeon stuck by his professional responsibilities in Berlin, while his wife tries to get out of trouble, in Paris, their daughter ( Eden Ducourant ) who has become the main suspect in the murder of a rich heir.
