Angelique Kerber was born on January 18, 1988 in Bremen, Germany. Her mother Beata (née Rzeźnik) is of Polish descent while her father Sławomir Kerber is of German descent from Poznań, Poland. She grew up in the city of Kiel, in northern Germany, alongside a brother, a sister named Jessica. Angélique Kerber has dual German-Polish nationality and speaks German, Polish and English.
Kerber started playing tennis very tenderly at age and his mother served as his manager during his junior career. She progressed to the later stages of several competitions both in Germany and throughout Europe. However, she didn’t pick up any junior titles until 2003, when she had already made her professional debut.
Angelique Kerber made her Grand Slam debut in 2007, however, she faced an early exit at the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. She continued to progress steadily over the next few years, winning several ITP titles. However, the WTA titles continued to elude him. 2012 was considered a breakthrough year for Kerber, who won his first two WTA titles. the 2012 GDF Suez Open and the 2012 e-Boks Open. During her long career, she was only linked by a German-born tennis coach, Torben Beltz. Beltz’s first stint as Kerber’s coach began in 2003, when the tennis star turned professional. After a 10-year stint, the duo broke up in 2013, however, they never confirmed if they were really an item.
After a two-year separation, Angelique Kerbera rehired Torben Beltz as coach in early 2015. This second stay between the two men lasted two years. On November 16, 2017, Kerber announced via social media that his longtime partnership with Torben Beltz was over. At the moment, we can assume that Angelique Kerber is single.
