American writer, actress, filmmaker and directorProducer Anne Lockhart can trace her theatrical roots over a hundred years ago when her great-grandfather John Coates Lockhart took the music halls of England by storm, performing as a veteran concert singer. June Lockhart, her mother, and her grandparents, Kathleen and Gene Lockhart, also distinguished themselves in the world of entertainment.

She made her acting debut at the age of 4 when she played the lead role of Annie on the set of T is for Tumbleweed – an Academy Award-nominated film in the category of Best Action Short Film in direct. During her professional career that spans more than 50 years, Anne Lockhart has appeared in more than sixty television series and several films, but her big break came when she played the character of Lieutenant Sheba in Battlestar Galactica – the series original which was shown in 1978. The famous artist is currently the widow of Adam Carlyle Taylor, an assistant director, they tied the common knot on December 24, 1986 and their marriage was a private matter. Adam was the son and grandson of actors Buck Taylor and Dub Taylor respectively. Their union lasted until the death of her husband, which occurred on June 4, 1994, as a result of injuries sustained in an accident. Before that, they were already parents to Zane and Carly. According to Anne Lockhart, her marriage was happy and her late husband was an understanding spouse. She had great difficulty recovering from his death and never remarried, as she prefers to be a single mother to her two children.
