Standing by her husband’s side since he was in college is an achievement not many can boast of. She was born and raised in the well-known area of Queens, New York. Although she is now a public figure, there is not much information about her childhood and upbringing in the media. Even after her husband’s rise to power, she has done a good job of keeping this information private. Nevertheless, there is still a lot worth knowing about Ms. Martin. She graduated from John Bowen High School in Flushing, New York. Shortly before moving to North Eastern University, she majored in business administration from the University of Massachusetts. There she decided to study taxes.
She not only wrote great books, but also tried in some sports earlier. During her studies at the University of Massachusetts she took part in competitive sports. She was a champion sprinter and also a hurdle. These days she is a supportive wife and housewife. There is no doubt that her place in the Martin family is of the utmost importance.

Her family is pretty much out there, thanks to her high profile husband. Anya Martin is married to Frank Martin, who is currently the coach of the University of South Carolina men’s basketball team. This American-born coach is the son of Cuban immigrants and happens to be the only member of his family who was born in the United States. Before beginning his coaching career, he went through a series of odd jobs, one of which involved him as a bouncer.
She was by his side for a large part of his college coaching career. The two have been married since 2006 and have grown a lot since then. Anya Martin even managed to move to South Carolina from Kansas State University. One of the main reasons for the move was that Anna’s mother was battling breast cancer at the time. Being closer to her during this trying time meant the world to her and the rest of the family. The couple is blessed with three children, their names are Christian, Amalia and Brandon Martin.

She was an experienced athlete in college
Anya Martin is in no way green when it comes to the rigors of the sports world. In fact, she was a champion sprinter in her college days. While attending the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, she set a number of UMass records in team competitions. Some of these were the 55-meter dash (1996) and the 100-meter hurdles (1998). Unfortunately, she suffered a sports-related injury; Two of the vertebrae in her back were broken and she was unable to participate for about 2 years. Fast forward to 2000, she won both the 100 meter dash and 100 meter hurdles at the USATF New England Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
She is quite active in her free time
The basketball coach’s wife takes kickboxing lessons and also plays tennis in her spare time. In addition to her regular workout, she occasionally does kickboxing to stay in shape. To spice things up a bit, she enjoys playing tennis and even admitted that she gets a kick out of being competitive.

While fulfilling all of his trainer duties, Anya Martin holds down the fort. In an interview, he once admitted that his presence in the house had been absent for a while.
