It was on June 28, 1969 that Ayelet Zurer was born in Israel, Tel Aviv. She was born to a father who was a civil servant, a painter for most of his life, and a mother who immigrated to Israel when she was 16. Her mother survived World War II in a convent in Slovakia where she was hiding.
