BIOGRAPHY
Born in Seville, Belen Cuesta Llamas, grew up in Malaga where she took her first theater lessons, then moved to Fuendagirola and enrolled in a higher drama school to perfect her acting and become an actress. Between 2004 and 2008, she participated in around ten plays which gave her the status of a theater actress, before obtaining a first opportunity on television in the thriller series Cazadores de hombres . Although she only played a small role for two episodes, it marked the beginning of her career on screen and allowed her to take her first steps in cinema the following year in Hierro , as secondary character.

Little by little, and while continuing his career in the theater, Belen was given more roles and gained recognition until he found himself headlining several feature films and in the regular casting of different series. She became known to the general public thanks to the comedy Ocho Apellidos Vascos which enjoyed resounding success when it was released in 2015.

Also active in dubbing, Belen is the Spanish voice of different cartoon characters such as Nya in Lego Ninjago and the professor in Klaus .

If his talent is recognized by the Spanish public, Belen is more widely noticed thanks to his interpretation in the Netflix series, La Casa de Papel . First a simple hostage in the third season, she plays one of the robbers the following season. There she finds Alba Flores , one of her partners on screen during her appearance in Vis a Vis in 2015. This notable appearance in the successful program allows her to land new main roles.

In 2019, Belen headlined La trinchera infinita , awarded the Silver Shell for Best Director and the Jury Prize for Best Screenplay, and in which she plays the wife of a Republican partisan under the Franco dictatorship. A year later, the young woman is the protagonist of the film Hasta que la boda nos separe , a comedy, where she plays Marina, a wedding planner about to organize her lover’s wedding.
