BIOGRAPHY
Bill Camp studied at the Juilliard School and early in his career was mostly active in theater, but also took on character roles in both film and television. In 2002, he left acting and temporarily changed careers (as a cook and mechanic), only to return two years later in Tony Kushner’s play Homebody/Kabul , for which he won an Obie Award (Off-Broadway Theater Awards). . In 2016 he was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in the Broadway revival of the play The Crucible . Camp made his career in television and film by playing supporting roles in many films such as Lincoln (2012), 12 Years a Slave (2013), Love and Compassion (2014), The Loving Marriage (2016), Master Bet (2017), The Vice President : Beyond the Power (2018) and Joker (2019), as well as the HBO miniseries The Night Of in 2016, for which he received a Primetime Emmy nomination. In 2020 he appeared in the new HBO series The Outsider .
