Facts
Q was born Brian Michael Quinn on March 14, 1976, to parents Carol Murphy and James Quinn in Staten Island, New York. He has Irish and Italian ancestry.
He attended Monsignor Farrell High School where he became involved in theater and sports. He performed in musicals such as Goodbye Bird, Meet Me in Saint Louis, and Sur la ville et Bon Dieu. Since childhood, he has been a passionate lover of football. He is a huge Manchester United Red Devils fan. If he hadn’t pursued an acting career, he probably would have become a professional footballer.
Brian Quinn attended Brooklyn College and after graduation worked for 8 years as a New York City firefighter. He still has so much love for his old fire station as he gave them a generous donation of $50,000.
The founding members of The Tenderloins came together in their freshman year of high school. When choosing a name for their band, they decided to use a word that would not only be silly, but would make people feel uncomfortable. Well, “nets” are obviously fine.
After graduation, the nets were tight and each MP decided to go solo. Brian Quinn joined The Tenderloins many years later as a replacement for fourth member Mike Boccio, who left the band for personal reasons. Before Impractical Jokers, The Nets appeared on television and in some low-budget films.
Brian “Q” Quinn made his debut in the 1996 film Warshots. He also made cameo appearances in movies like Dogma, Big Helium Dog, Vulgar, 12 Monkeys. He opened up about his battle with depression on a few episodes of Tell Steve-Dave! , weekly podcast, he co-hosts. Who knew that comics also suffer from depression?
However, he is a fan of Star Wars and he loves animals too. He owns three cats: Brooklyn, Chessie and Benjamin.
Brian Quinn’s Girlfriend, Ex Fiance
In her career as an artist, Q has only been associated with one woman, Emily Amick. Emily was a makeup artist on Impractical Jokers. The two were seen together on several occasions in public and there was speculation that they got engaged.
However, things turned sour for Q when Emily had an affair with another man. She later married the man with whom she had this affair. Since then, Q has not been associated with any other women. Could it be that he is still heartbroken over this unhappy relationship? I guess not, a man who brings joy and laughter to so many people cannot stay sad for so long.
Family – wife and daughter
Of the 5 characters on impractical Jokers, only one is married and it’s not Q. He hasn’t considered his marital status as “married” yet. He even makes jokes about being still single and describes it as “strange”. He also referenced his marital status via a tweet stating that he would not get married until his hometown of Newyork legalized gay marriage. What if it doesn’t happen soon?
Even as an artist, Brian Q Quinn keeps his personal life private. Aside from the failed romance he had with Emily Amick, not much is known about his family. As far as we know, this relationship didn’t have a daughter, so we can assume that Brian Q Quinn doesn’t have a child…yet.
