BIOGRAPHY
The son of a television screenwriter and an actress, Charles Shaughnessy appeared in plays since elementary school. After attending Eton College, he completed a law degree at Magdalene College, Cambridge, where he subsequently wrote a thesis on the House of Lords. Then he enrolled in a drama school in London. He then moved to the United States and married actress Susan Fallender, with whom he had two daughters.

Multiple castings, Charles found his first role in 13 episodes of the legal series Jury in 1983. The following year, he was chosen to play Alistair Crawford in the soap Alliances & betrayals . But it was Days of our Lives that revealed it to the general public. In this television series with thousands of episodes, the London native slips into the shoes of Shane Donovan, Kimberly Brady’s husband, for 1,148 episodes (from 1984 to 2013).

At the same time, Charles Shaughnessy appears more or less furtively in various other series.
