BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1953 in Paris, Christine Dejoux was immersed in the artistic world very early on since she is the daughter of the designer, director and scenographer Jean Dejoux. Passionate about theater, she studied this discipline once she completed her secondary studies, while increasing her number of stage performances, notably at the famous Café de la Gare created by Coluche and Romain Bouteille at the end of the 1960s.

Throughout her theatrical career, Christine Dejoux has toured under the direction of big names on the stage, ranging from Coluche to Josiane Balasko, including Martin Lamotte, Romain Bouteille, Jacques Echantillon, Jacques Lassalle and Isabelle Nanty, to name but a few. . Proof of her immense investment in this artistic branch, she participated in the opening, with her friends Martin Lamotte and Jacques Delaporte , of the theater of La Veuve Pichard (which would become Point-Virgule) located in the famous Parisian district of Marais and which launched many comedians.

Building on her talent and her network, Christine Dejoux obtained several film roles. She began by appearing in the comedy L’An 01 , alongside actors she knew well, including Coluche and the very fashionable Splendide gang. She most often takes part in comedies, such as Juliette and Juliette (1974) and Watch out for your eyes! (1976). The young actress plays a more consistent character in The Bastard’s Apprentice by Michel Deville, as well as in Un moment d’égarement by Claude Berri (which gave rise, in 2015, to a remake with Vincent Cassel), that of Jean’s daughter -Pierre Marielle.

In the 1980s, his notoriety increased with his performances in Viens chez moi, j’habite chez une famille by Patrice Leconte and especially La Soupe aux choux, a science fiction comedy led by Louis de Funès, Jean Carmet and Jacques Villeret at the top of their game. Christine Dejoux plays Francine, the 60-year-old wife of de Funès’ character, who is resurrected at the age of 20 thanks to the help of La Denrée (Villeret)! The film enjoyed solid commercial success (3 million admissions) and became cult thanks to its numerous television broadcasts.

Despite this success, Christine Dejoux decided to step back from film sets to devote herself to various roles related to the stage. Among them, we can count training via the “DEJOUX de la Parole Partagée” workshops, in which she gives theater classes, but also the implementation of shows in prisons, where she puts on plays with the inmates. She also appears on television, whether in TV films ( Stirn and Stern , Faux Frère , Les Passeurs ) or series ( Commissaire Moulin , Madame Le Proisseur , Section de recherche ).

Christine Dejoux also coaches experienced actors and has, among others, given lessons to the American actress Jane Fonda !
