BIOGRAPHY
Cindy Crawford earned an academic scholarship to study chemical engineering at Northwestern University, which she only attended for one semester before dropping out to dedicate herself full-time to her modeling career. After working for photographer Victor Skrebneski in Chicago, she moved to New York in 1986 and obtained a contract with the Elite New York modeling agency. In the 1980s and 1990s she was one of the most popular supermodels and a ubiquitous presence on magazine covers and catwalks, as well as in fashion campaigns. In 1995, she broke into cinema as the female lead in the film Attraction Explosive . Crawford gave up full-time modeling in 2000 and now only occasionally appears in fashion magazines. Crawford will appear in a four-part AppleTV+ docuseries titled The Super Models , which also features Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista.
