She was educated at King George High School where she participated in theater and school productions. In 1997, she was the school’s fall festival queen.

After graduation, the actress proceeded to study at Virginia Tech. In 2006, she had moved to Los Angeles so that she could pursue her acting career, a passion she had always had since she was much younger.
