BIOGRAPHY
Corey Stoll began acting in theater, after completing his theoretical training at the Long Lake Camp for The Arts drama school . The young New Yorker took part in a short film, in order to get to grips with the camera, before obtaining a small role in 2004 in Les Experts and other major productions such as New York Police Blues , Alias , Numb3rs and Urgences .

His first experiences on the small screen allowed him to find a place in the cinema in The Josey Aimes Affair , with Charlize Theron , Sean Bean and Jeremy Renner . On this momentum, he joined the prestigious cast of Slevin , directed by Paul McGuigan , with Josh Hartnett . The following year, he played a sergeant in the fantasy thriller The Number 23 , by Joel Schumacher , alongside Jim Carrey .

As his reputation grew, he oscillated between the small and big screen. The actor then participated in an episode of The Good Wife in 2009 , and played detective Tomas “TJ” Jaruszalski in the only season of Los Angeles Judicial Police , a spin-off of Law and Order , the action of which takes place, as as the title indicates, in the “City of Angels”.

The young man also appears in the glamorous Salt worn by Angelina Jolie , as well as in Midnight in Paris , by filmmaker Woody Allen , in which he plays the famous author and journalist Ernest Hemingway . Stoll then landed a regular role in the first season of House of Cards , that of Peter Russo, an elected Democratic congressman, who has some problems with alcohol and drugs.

After a return to the big screen in 2014 in the nervous Non-Stop , with Liam Neeson , and a whirlwind stint in the fourth season of Homeland opposite Claire Danes , the actor once again landed a regular role on television, but this this time in a completely different genre: horror. Playing Doctor Ephraim Goodweather in Guillermo del Toro ‘s The Strain .

The actor is then propelled into ever-larger productions, while continuing to star alongside Hollywood stars. He is notably starring in a comedy by Shawn Levy ( Night at the Museum ), entitled This Is Where I Leave You . He plays one of the Foxman brothers whose father has died.

The year 2015 marked a meteoric rise in his film career when he played Darren Cross aka “Yellowjacket”, the sworn enemy of Ant-Man , in the superhero blockbuster adapted from the Marvel comic. A well-known supporting role, Corey Stoll went on to star in films as diverse as Strictly Criminal , Café Society , Gold , First Man – the first man on the Moon and The Many Saints of Newark .

But it is on the small screen that the New York native is most active. The actor thus joins the casts of the series The Deuce , Baghdad Central and Billions .
