If you’ve made the assumption that Dana DeLorenzo is an Italian-born actress who made a move to America, you’d be wrong, but not entirely far off. Dana DeLorenzo is certainly of Italian descent but was born in America in Youngstown, Ohio. Apparently their ancestors are the ones who made the move to America. Dana was born on January 1, 1983 to Phyllis DeLorenzo and Jerry DeLorenzo.
Dana’s entry into the entertainment world was quite early. Although she continued to have a formal education through college, attending DePaul University in Chicago and earning a bachelor’s degree in media communications in 2005, she began acting as a child. She made her debut in a radio commercial for her father’s clothing store. She first made money as an actress when she was 11 when she appeared on a weekly dinner show. A varied start to her entertainer career was acting for the environmental comedy Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding on the Chicago theater scene.
She got her first real shot as an entertainer and actress on a radio show called Mancow’s Morning Madhouse . The show, which she starred in as Marissa Sanchez and also produced, was popular with local listeners and was subsequently syndicated nationally, giving Dana DeLorenzo her first national exposure. 2011 was a pivotal year for Dana DeLorenzo as an onscreen actress. She continued to appear on television in 2012, making guest appearances on shows such as Adlerherz and Workaholics . 2012 was especially great for Dana DeLorenzo because she got a big role as the character Beth on the late night show The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Since then, she has had a number of television appearances, including a regular role in 2015 ‘s Impress Me and as Kelly Maxwell in Ash vs. Evil Dead . Her role in Ash vs Evil Dead proved to be one of her most popular and significant projects and also earned her several award nominations at the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards. Her other television credits come from shows like Will & Grace, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Barely Famous, and a few others. Dana Delorenzo is the daughter of Phyllis(mother) and Jerry Delorenzo (father). Both of her parents are Italian. Unfortunately, on June 5, 2018, she lost her mother to stage 4 metastatic cancer. There is no confirmed information about Dana’s siblings, if she has any, but some sources suggest that she has a brother named Jeremy.
