Dave Chappelle was born on August 24, 1973 in Washington DC, United States. He was born to parents William David Chappelle III and Yuonne K Chappelle Seon. Growing up, Dave spent most of his early life in Silver Spring, Maryland. Considering his heritage, Chappelle is of African-American ethnicity while his nationality is American.
Dave had a passion for the entertainment industry from a very young age. He was known for his quick wit back in his school days. Regarding the academic studies of him, Chappelle joined Woodlin Elementary School. He later graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Arts with a degree in theater arts.

The acting career of the famous Dave Chappelle began as a stage actor at the Apollo Theater. However, things didn’t go as smoothly as Dave had hoped. He was booed offstage, but this little setback wasn’t going to stop the ambitious Chappelle. Dave was just 19 years old when he made his feature film debut in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, where he was cast as Ahchoo.
