BIOGRAPHY
Actress Deborah Ann Woll was born on February 7, 1985, in Brooklyn, New York, New York, USA.
Since she was little she showed her interest in the arts, taking acting, piano and dance classes. She attended Packer Collegiate Institute High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the USC School of Theater at the University of Southern California.
She began working as a television actress and debuted in 2007 in the series Life. The following year she participated in the television movie Aces and Eights . After this project she made several television series such as ER, My Name is Earl, CSI, The Mentalist and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, but the role that made her a celebrity was that of Jessica Hamby, the young and fierce vampire of the acclaimed HBO series, True Blood (2008).
From that moment on, she was offered roles in films such as Bloody Mother’s Day (2010), Seven Days in Utopia (2011), Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You (2011), Catch .44 (2011) and Ruby Sparks (2012). Among her latest projects are the television series Daredevil, The defenders and The punisher .
Her boyfriend, comedian Edward EJ Scott, and her family suffer from choroideremia, a condition that slowly blinds its victim. She uses her celebrity status to help advocate for them and others with the disease. She has stated on several occasions that the bravery of her boyfriend allows her to face celiac disease, a disease that makes her intolerant of foods that contain gluten.
