Does this photo of Raila Odinga look suspicious?
The NASA flag bearer is known as a big sports fan and has participated in public sporting events several times.
He has attended a number of football matches to improve his fitness but this new photo of the 72-year-old exercising raises a few eyebrows.
Raila is pictured with weights for the bench press, believed to be around 45kg. 45kg? Really Mzee? Someone on the President of Hope team should be fired for releasing this unrealistic photo to the public.
In a previous interview with KTN News, Mr Odinga said he usually works out every day before doing his campaign duties. The physical exercises help him stay fit for the day as he moves around the country to convince the populace to vote for him.
However, physical exercise or aerobic activities such as running, swimming, walking, cycling, dancing, and jumping are exercises one would expect from an older male who does not lift weights.
Now the question is, how are the masses going to buy what he’s selling when little lies like this are allowed to dally?
The only reason this photo should be released to the public was because Mr Odinga was directly calling on rugby players to join his cause.
But his team is likely borrowing a leaf from US President Donald J. Trump’s book of lies and the increasing number of social media users posting fake images to draw attention to themselves.

Below is a video of Raila Odinga walking the right path and I have to say he looks pretty fit.
Meanwhile, Raila isn’t the only leader known to exercise on a daily basis. DP William Ruto has been spotted a few times exercising in the mornings before going to work.
