The Miami Heat man was born Dwyane Tyrone Wade Jr. on January 17, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois. It was there that he was raised alongside his siblings until he was 9 years old when he moved to another area to live with his father. Prior to this, his childhood was not without its difficulties, especially since he was raised by his drug-addicted mother, Jolinda Wade, and his first environment was an area with multiple gangs.

For his education, Wade attended Harold L. Richards High School and from there he moved on to Marquette University where he spent three years before turning professional. Nevertheless, he still came to attend Diederich College of Communication.

Career wise, after making good runs in his college days, Wade was selected in the 2003 NBA draft by the Miami Heat. He became the highest pick of any Marquette University player, making a fifth pick in Round 1.

He stayed with the team until he signed a $47 million deal with the Chicago Bulls in 2016, eventually going on to a deal with Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017. Later , in 2018, he decided to return to the Miami Heat.
