BIOGRAPHY
Eddie Marsan was born and raised in Bethnal Green, London. After a career in printing, the British launched into comedy and quickly made a name for himself thanks to the roles of charismatic villains. In 2003, he played a reverend (a role he played again in Beowulf, the Viking Legend in 2005) in 21 grams by Alejandro González Inárritu before playing the violent Killoran in Gangs of New York by Martin Scorsese .

Two years later, the actor experienced a prosperous period: appearing in Match Point by Woody Allen , then in New World , the historical fresco by Terrence Malick , he played the militants in Vera Drake by Mike Leigh , which he will be reunited in 2008 for Be Happy .
