BIOGRAPHY
Passionate about comedy from a very young age, Elisabeth Bourgine went to study at the Conservatory of Dramatic Art in Rennes where she met Jacques Weber and Francis Huster . The latter also became his partner on the stage and opened the doors of cinema to him by offering him several small roles in short films.

From plays to television films, the young actress gradually moved towards the big screen and notably participated in the detective film Nestor Burma, detective de shock (1982) and the dramatic comedy Vive la sociale! (1983). Her first notable role, alongside Lino Ventura , whose adopted daughter she played in The 7th Target (1984), earned her a nomination for the César for Best Supporting Actress. She also won the Romy Schneider prize in 1985, which rewards the best hope of French cinema.

His career in cinema continued with three successive collaborations with director Pierre Granier-Deferre , namely Private Course (1986), Forbidden Drowning (1987) and The Color of the Wind (1988). Three years later, she was part of the prestigious cast of the dramatic comedy A Heart in Winter , by Claude Sautet , after which she disappeared for a time from the big screen, only appearing in the theater or on television.

It was in 2006 that Elisabeth Bourgine returned to cinema. She thus meets Daniel Auteuil for the second time for the comedy My Best Friend .
