Emilie Ullerup’s bio

Ullerup was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on October 27, 1984. After graduating from high school in 2003, she moved from her home country to Vancouver to pursue a career in acting. In Vancouver, she attended the Vancouver Film School, where she graduated in 2005 after completing her studies in the Acting Essentials and Acting for Film and Television programs.

After graduating from the Vancouver Film School, Emilie Ullerup landed her first role in 2006 as Julia Brynn. Battlestar Galactica – a remake that aired on the Sci-Fi Channel. Later the same year, she portrayed Sandra in the first episode of the Canadian television series – Blood Ties

She then portrayed Ashley Magnus in the first and second seasons of the Canadian science fiction and fantasy television series Sanctuary. Ullerup left the series after his character was written off; his departure from the show became a matter of debate as fans asked him to return in future episodes, but this never happened until the show ended in 2012.

In 2016, she starred as Bree O’Brien in a Canadian/American drama television series, Chesapeake Shores alongside Meghan Ory, Treat Williams, Jesse Metcalfe, Andrew Francis, Diane Ladd and Brendan Penny. Emilie Ullerup has starred in several other films and TV series, including Hunt to Kill, True Memoirs of an International Assassin, Death Do Us Part, Leprechaun: Origins, What an idiot, Riese: Kingdom Falling, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From the Heart, Christmas hearts, Sleepwalking in the suburbs, With love, Christmas, JPod etc.

In 2008, she won the Leo Award for Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Drama Series for her role in JPod. Her role as Astrid Poulsen on the Canadian drama TV series Arctic Air also earned her two Leo Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2012 and 2013 respectively. In 2013, Emilie Ullerup was also nominated for Best Supporting Performance by a Female in a Motion Picture for her role in Death Do Us Part . The same year, she won the UBCP/ACTRA awards for best actress for her role as Astrid Poulsen in Arctic Air.

His family – parents, siblings

Emilie comes from a family of diplomats. His parents are Ove Ullerup-Petersen and Bodil Mørkøv Ullerup. Her father, Ove Ullerup-Petersen, is a decorated Danish diplomat, lawyer and ambassador to Vietnam. He also bears the title of Lord Chamberlain for the Danish royal family.

Growing up, the family lived in several places including Vietnam and Sweden, so in addition to Danish, the actress is also fluent in English, Swedish and Vietnamese. She has two sisters – Simone and Caroline Ullerup.

Kyle is a Canadian actor born in British Columbia on May 6, 1976 and raised in the Kootenay Mountains. He starred in True Justice and jPod alongside Ullerup.

In 2008, Emilie Ullerup discovered a tumor around her spinal nerves and had to undergo surgery in 2009 to remove it. During the operation, her tailbone and half of the sacrum of her pelvis were removed, but she recovered in time to return to work after about five months.

During callbacks for Sanctuary, Emilie Ullerup reportedly wowed the audition panel by mastering a fight sequence in seconds and giving James Bamford (the stunt coordinator) a run for his money.
