Frank Fritz, television star and celebrity was born on October 11, 1965. By nationality, Frank is American, but by ethnicity, he is white. He was born into a middle class family in Davenport, Iowa, United States of America. His mother made a living by caring for other people’s children as a nanny while his father worked in a dispensary. He was raised in Ohio with his sister who is a few years older than him. Frank has a Christian upbringing and is known for his neutral temperament and sociability.

He attended his secondary school in a local school, but refused to continue his studies afterwards for reasons he knew better, he began to choose unique and old-fashioned objects that could have meaning for a place, people, tribe or a historical era. Much like a modern-day archaeologist, Frank was interested in antiquities, but the only difference is that he didn’t have to engage in excavations to collect his own treasures, rather he picked them from different places.

Frank worked as a fire inspector for almost 25 years. He was known to cover areas between Des Moines and Cedar Falls, Iowa. However, the passion for collecting antiquities was already burning within him and this was later identified as the reason why he did not pursue higher education at university. His interest in antique collecting grew so much that he decided to quit his job as a fire and safety instructor to pursue his passion.

At a very young age, Frank enjoyed collecting rock with Mike Wolfe. Mike is a friend Frank made when he was in high school. The duo have a similar interest in antiques. Like Frank, Mike started out with rocks and old can beers and as he grew up he moved on to vintage cars and toys. The two friends went on to found the “Antique Archaeology” store, located in Le Claire, Iowa, where junks and antiques are cleaned and refurbished for sale to the public. The co-founders criss-crossed the country and visited more than two hundred cities in search of junks and antiques to renovate and sell to the public through their antique archeology shop.

However, Frank Fritz’s life took a leap forward in 2010. Together with his partner Mike, he was called upon to host the American Pickers Show by the History Channel. The series earned him popularity because it grew to become one of the most successful series with very high ratings. The show is organized so that the co-presenters do the same thing they would do in their daily routine: traveling around the country in search of vintage and rare items to refurbish.

The debut of the American Pickers Show recorded 3.7 million viewers. The broadcast made the “Archaeological Antiquities” shop even more popular with many spectators of the exhibition who frequent it by the thousands. Their adventure didn’t end there, the duo also founded Child Pickers website which is for kids to discuss the items they found. They also co-founded the restoration company which operates in the renovation and resale of antiques. Frank has made appearances on numerous shows including Rachael Ray, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, American Restaurant, Pawn Stars and a host of others.
