The fine meteorologist was born Hollie Strano on December 3, 1972 in Lyndhurst, the eastern suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. She was the first child of three children born to her parents. Her siblings’ names are Mike and Stephanie. If the photos she posted online are anything to go by, Strano seems to have a special bond with her brother Mike. Mike is married and the father of three children.
Young Hollie Strano had her elementary and high school education in religiously owned private schools; Saint Clare Elementary School, Lyndhurst and Notre Dame Cathedral Latin and Walsh Jesuit School, Chardon, Ohio.
Strano later enrolled directly at a Catholic university known as John Carroll University in Ohio, where she earned her degree in meteorology before transferring to Mississippi State University, where she pocketed her National Weather Association Seal, a certificate enabling her to Forecast live weather reports.
Hollie Strano soon got a job at the WKYC television station in Cleveland. Her reporting and presentation style soon made her the toast of many on the network and in the public sphere. With consistency, her bubbly and always charming personality peppered with hard work, she grew through the ranks of the office. She is now the host of an hour-long live program called The Live On Lakeside Show, on Channel 3 News, alongside Katherine Boyd. The show takes a look at the lifestyle of Cleveland Native Americans, particularly the celebrities with weather reports included in the program. Aside from that, the show encourages sponsorships and gives its sponsors the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the numerous viewers.
She has co-hosted the show with notable names such as Alexa Lee, Maureen Kyle, Dave Chudoskwy, Michael Estime, Larry Macon and Joe Cronauer. Alexa Lee and Joe Cronauer are WKYC media personalities, Michael Estime is a fellow meteorologist at WKYC, while Larry Macon is a pastor at Mount Zion Church in Oakland.
As well as being a radio and television show host, Hollie Strano is also treating her fans to a cooking show where she shares her list of the best recipes, from pastries to anything chewable.
