The famous television personality was born in the family of Hugh and Lilian Hannity on December 30, 1961 in New York, USA. He came from a family of disciplinarians, as his father was a family court officer while his mother was a county prison officer who also worked as a stenographer.
He went on to start a house painting business before becoming a general contractor. A few years later, Hannity transitioned into becoming one of the most well-known media personalities in America after beginning his radio career on UC Santa Barbara’s volunteer college station, KCSB-FM. He worked on various radio stations including WGST, Atlanta and WABC, New York before moving to television, appearing on shows such as Fox News Channels Hannity and Colmes and The Sean Hannity Show. The latter was his biggest breakthrough, earning him a five-year, $25 million deal with ABC.
